I struggled probably the most with the portrait project. This was the first project that we used on photoshop and I was just starting to know how to use all of the tools. If I could change anything about this project it would probably be to change the picture that I used. This photo was taken somewhat far away. What I did to enhance this photo was I changed the color of her hair to darker. I also made her teeth whiter and fixed the blemishes on her face with the clone stamp tool. I lightened up under her eyes also and made her skin look more even. I liked how we made the portrait dark and then put in on the poster. I enjoyed the word art that was used and the symbol combined with a nice pattern background. I thought that it added a lot to the poster and made it so that it could be a little creative.

One of my favorite projects that we did this year would definitely be the chimera. I struggled at first finding good pictures of animals to use in this project though. I thought it was going to be nearly impossible to make something look real that was a bunch of animals mixed together. I ended up choosing the body of a gorilla, the head of an owl, and antlers off an antelope. I used the fur of the gorilla and blended it with the head of the owl using the clone stamp tool. I made it all a dark grayish black color. I put this creature in a scary dark setting, which in this case was a sewer. I enjoyed how this project turned out. If I were able to change anything I maybe would’ve kept the original color of the owls eyes. They may have added more character to this “animal”. I enjoyed this project a lot though.

I really enjoyed the odd man out activity. I placed a female bodybuilder in with male bodybuilders. This is obviously not hard to see which one does not belong, but I tried to go more with the funny route. I struggled with trying to fix the background and make it blend nicely. I think my final project turned out nice. I used a lot of the clone stamp tool to copy the background and touch up things that the selection tool did not get. If i were to go back I would maybe outline the lady bodybuilder more carefully and would try to make the background blend a little more.
